Our Miracles ...

Hi we are Mum and Dad's miracles who arrived in this world on the 24th April 2003. Michael arrived at 10.11am, weighing 4lb 12 oz (2.160kg) and Cameron arrived at 10.13am, weighing 4lb 15oz (2.240kg).

We were 6 weeks early - our due date was going to be the 2nd June 2003. We got bored so we thought we'd check out what we were missing out on ..... We were born in Auckland at National Womens Hospital.

Cameron spent his first 2 days at NWH then was transferred to Greenlane Hospital where he spent the next 6 weeks "recovering" from his first two major heart surgeries. Here is a link to his story with living with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (no left side to his heart - essentially half a heart).

Michael spent 28 days in PIN at National Womens Hospital "feeding and growing" and learning to feed. Then spent the next 5 weeks travelling around with Mum and Dad to and from Greenlane Hospital to "visit" his brother while he got well enough to come home.

Mum and Dad are so happy we are now here as it took them a long time to get us ..

Our new sister arrived 5 days late on the 8th March 2006, weighing 8lb 2oz (3.690kg) at 6.05pm. She is really going to keep us on our toes ... She was born in New Plymouth at Taranaki Base Hospital. She came home after 5 days .. after Mum was able to have a "rest" at Elizabeth R maternity home .. before she was "thrown in the deep end" with 3 under 3.

If ever there was a reason to believe that dreams come true,
it's realized every single moment that we look at you.
For you are angels sent from above;
the perfect little gift given in God's love.
A treasure we never thought possible, but we continued to hope and pray;
that God would find it in his heart to give you to us one day.
God listened to our prayers and proved what we hoped was true;
that miracles really can happen and the reason we believe is....you!
